Bass Tab Archive

Tabulature is a form of musical notation that shows musicians how to play. It uses positions on the instrument instead of notes on a scale, so you don't have to know how to read music. The Base Tab Archive contains tabulature sheet music for hundreds of popular songs. Since I have a good ear I don't need tab much, but there are some tunes that are pretty complex. The Archive will come in handy.

Fat Tax

A group calling themselves The Institute for a Healthy America (IHA) is proposing that anyone in the USA with a Body-Mass Index (BMI) of 25.5 or greater would be charged a fat-tax. This would help alleviate the $80 billion spent on their health-care system.

I'd have to pay $2000. How much would you have to pay?

Google Idol

GoogleIdol.com is a competition of lip-synching videos. In the current finals is "The Back Dormitory Boys" (who raged across the internet with their version of "I Wanted It that Way") are competing with a pair of Dutch girls named Pomme & Kelly. There are no prizes awarded, so apparently Gidol winners get fame but no fortune.

Pre-Pixelated Clothing

If you ever get caught on a reality TV show (and you know you want to) they will pixelate out any logos you have on your clothing. To save the post-production people some time, you can purchase pre-pixelated clothing from Ironic Sans.

KissThisGuy

KissThisGuy.com is an archive of mis-heard lyrics. You know, when you're singing along to your favorite song at the top of your lungs and your friends begin laughing at you and tell you that you're not singing the right words. You can search for songs by artist or by title, and even add your own experiences.

One of the questions each contributor must answer: "I take interesting medications: Yes/No"

Shirt Folding

A while ago I posted a video on how to fold shirts quickly. You may have also seen a device on TV that folds shirts using a folding plastic frame. Of course, to get it you have to send money. Or, you could go here and see plans and a video on how to make your own.

Digging Through the Earth

The cartoon characters did it all the time -- digging a hole in the ground and coming out on the other side of the earth. But where, exactly would you end up? According to this web site, I would end up in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

I'll have to be careful when I put in my fence posts this summer.
